ABSTRACT

International guideance that suggest exclusively breastfeeding during first 6 months based on scientific evidence about breastmilk benefit for infant survival, growth and development. Breastmilk give all energy and nutrient that infant needs for the first 6 months of his life. Infant morbidity and moratality rate who given exclusive breastfeeding much smaller than the infant who not exclusively breastfed. Knowing the difference of morbidity frequency on infant age 0-6 months between exclusive breastfeeding with not exclusive breastfeeding in Primary Health Center 1 AjibarangBanyumas Regency in 2013. The type of study is observasional with retrospektif approach.The population in this research were all infant age 7-12 monthsin Primary Health Center 1 Ajibarang that amount 622 consisted of 465 infant who were breastfed exclusively and as many as 157 baby who are not breastfed exclusively. The average of infant morbidity frequency who were breastfed exclusively two times in the last 5 months and non-exclusive breastfeeding three times in the last 5 months. There are differences in the morbidity frequency of infant age 0-6 months between the infant who were breastfed exclusively with non-exclusive breastfeeding in Primary Health Center 1 Ajibarang. There are differences in the morbidityf requency of infant age 0-6 months between the infant who were breastfed exclusively with non-exclusive breastfeeding in Primary Health Center 1 Ajibarang. Improved the exclusive breastfed behavior in order to the infants had the optimal survival because it?s proven that breastmilk can full up all he nutrition was needed for infants.
